Bisabolol is a plant‐based active substance that is found in essential oil of chamomile. Manzana chamomile, originally from Spain, contains large quantities of bisabolol (up to 45% of the essential oil), and is therefore now also grown in France, Germany and the USA. Bisabolol is important in skincare because it is antibacterial, soothes the skin and boosts cell regeneration.
